Over the next few months, a number of all-electric SUVs are set to hit the market. Many are eagerly awaited by consumers. Here’s a list of 10 SUV models that are generating a fair amount of attention and are eagerly awaited in 2023.<\/p>\n

Top 10 most eagerly awaited electric SUVs in 2023<\/h2>\n

1. Chevrolet Equinox EV 2024<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"VUS<\/p>\n

The Equinox SUV is a great success within the Chevrolet family. Last year, the company sold just over 210,000 units, more than Ford with its Escape, Hyundai with its Tucson and Subaru with its Forester.<\/p>\n

For 2024, an electric version has been added to the range, and what’s interesting about it is that it will start at $35,000 CAD. At first, the more expensive versions will show up, but if you’re patient, you’ll be able to take advantage of the more affordable variants. With government discounts, they promise to sell like hotcakes.<\/p>\n

The model is expected to have a range of around 500 kilometers.<\/p>\n

2. Chevrolet Blazer<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"VUS<\/p>\n

Like the Equinox, the Blazer is a highly anticipated model. As with its little brother, it will benefit from General Motors’ Ultium platform, a structure that offers nearly 500 kilometers of range in its best configuration, as well as interesting performance. With the Blazer, it will be possible to opt for three different types of drivetrain: front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. This approach is unprecedented.<\/p>\n

3. Cadillac Lyriq<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"VUS<\/p>\n

A third GM SUV is eagerly awaited this year: the Cadillac Lyriq. Featuring a breathtaking design and an interior that exudes quality, this model also promises to be a hit thanks to its value for money. And a sign that the Ultium platform is impressive, a difference of just eight kilometers in range can be found between the two-wheel and four-wheel drive versions (494 vs. 502).<\/p>\n

For some $3,000 more, expect the all-wheel drive variant to be more popular. For 2024, Cadillac has already announced the addition of two further trim levels to the range (the 2023 model is only offered in one configuration).<\/p>\n

4. Fisker Ocean<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"VUS<\/p>\n

A stylish electric SUV with 500 kilometers of range – that’s what’s in store for the Fisker Ocean. Officially unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2022, the model is expected to be available this summer. If it proves a success, it could relaunch the brand, which has had nothing but ups and downs since its debut with the Karma in 2012.<\/p>\n

5. Ford Explorer EV<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"VUS<\/p>\n

The Ford Explorer is one of the most popular SUVs on the market. Going electric was therefore an easy decision for Ford. The company announced the move in May 2021. The Explorer EV will join the Mustang Mach-E, the E-Transit van and the F-150 Lightning in the automaker’s electric range. Expect different configurations of the model, much like the Mach-E.<\/p>\n

6. Volkswagen ID. Buzz<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"VUS<\/p>\n

Here’s one that’s going to be a big hit, if only because of its eye-catching design. The\u00a0Volkswagen ID. Buzz<\/a>\u00a0is the modern incarnation of the Microbus model that became a worldwide success in the 1960s. The short-wheelbase version is already on the road in Europe. Our passenger variant, which will be officially unveiled next summer in California, will benefit from a longer wheelbase and a three-row seating configuration.<\/p>\n

7. Genesis GV70<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"VUS<\/p>\n

Genesis’ best-selling model is the\u00a0VUS\u00a0GV70<\/a>. Next week, the media will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the electric variant, certainly one of the most eagerly awaited vehicles on the market this year.<\/p>\n

With electric motors at the front and rear, and a total output of 483 hp, it’s a promising proposition.<\/p>\n

If the driving experience is as interesting as with the gasoline version, you’re going to find a lot of them on the road.<\/p>\n

8. Honda Prologue<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"VUS<\/p>\n

Honda will offer its first electric vehicle with\u00a0the Prologue<\/a>, an SUV that will share its underpinnings with General Motors products (Ultium platform), more specifically the Blazer EV.<\/p>\n

Details of mechanical configurations, range and other elements are expected a little later this year, closer to the model’s presentation.<\/p>\n

9. Lexus RZ<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"VUS<\/p>\n

The Lexus RZ was recently presented to the press in France, and will land on our roads later this year. The cousin of the Toyota bZ4X will offer more power. Its dual-engine, all-wheel drive Direct4 unit produces 308 hp, giving it a 0-100 km\/h time of around 5.5 seconds.<\/p>\n

10. Subaru Solterra<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"VUS<\/p>\n

Finally, there’s another cousin of the bZ4X, the Subaru Solterra, developed in partnership with Toyota. It will benefit from the same 72.8 kWh battery and its range will be around 350 kilometers. That’s the disappointing thing about this SUV duo (Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Solterra), but Toyota has decided to err on the side of caution to ensure longer battery life.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen.<\/p>\n
