It\u2019s always interesting to compile a list of the best-selling electric vehicles in the USA and Canada, but what about Europe? This week, we examine the results on this side of the planet, with the complete results for 2023.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll start with the 10th best-selling vehicle and then move on to the most popular among consumers on the Old Continent.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

10 \u2013 BMW i4<\/h2>\n

Units sold:\u00a048,958<\/strong><\/p>\n

Growth compared to 2022:\u00a0+ 92%<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In 10th place is a vehicle we know well, the\u00a0BMW i4<\/a>. There are three versions here, but in France, for example, there are four variants on the menu, some of which are also sold here, such as the eDrive40 livery. The strength of the BMW i4 lies in its driving pleasure, which is almost identical to that of the gasoline-powered 4 Series.<\/p>\n

9 \u2013 Volvo XC40<\/h2>\n

Here\u2019s another model that\u2019s also sold here and widespread. The advertised range is up to 575 km, based on the European WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) cycle, which is some 20% to 25% more generous than the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) cycle in force here. Such is the case with the small\u00a0Dacia Spring<\/a>\u00a0SUV, which provides a maximum range of 300 km in town and a 65 hp electric motor. It\u2019s hard to imagine such a vehicle here at home, but for 18,900 euros, you can bet it would find buyers here.<\/p>\n

7 \u2013 Volkswagen ID. 3<\/h2>\n

Here\u2019s a\u00a0Volkswagen product<\/a>\u00a0that won\u2019t be sold in North America, mainly because its format is too compact. The model would sell in Quebec, but in the United States, where success is necessary to make any marketing on our continent profitable, it would be riskier for Volkswagen to market this model. We\u2019ll have to settle with the ID.4 as an entry-level solution.<\/p>\n

6 \u2013 Fiat 500e<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s interesting to note the difference in range between the European and North American cycles. While the\u00a0Fiat 500e<\/a>\u00a0guarantees a range of 320 km in Europe, it has a range of 240 km in North America. It\u2019s worth noting that Fiat offers more than one electric model in Europe, including the new Topolino, the very definition of an urban product, being the size of a golf cart. His range is 75 km.<\/p>\n

5 \u2013 Skoda Enyaq<\/h2>\n

Czech-born Skoda, now part of the Volkswagen Group, offers a host of interesting vehicles in its markets, including the\u00a0Enyaq<\/a>\u00a0SUV, the company\u2019s first all-electric model. The Enyaq is based on the Volkswagen ID.4, although the two creations have a clear aesthetic difference. Its starting price is 54,000 euros, which doesn\u2019t make it very affordable, but that doesn\u2019t stop it from being a success either.<\/p>\n

4 \u2013 MG 4<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s also a fine example of a Chinese model, even if it appears under the English MG banner, even though this vehicle benefits from the structure of the Chinese firm SAIC. It offers a range of up to 500 km and starts at 24,990 euros in France, making it an interesting solution.<\/p>\n
