10 Electric Vehicles from GM

The electric shift is now essential for automakers, and GM is no exception. Looking across GM’s various brands, we observe that a total of 10 electric models have been unveiled, making this manufacturer the leader in terms of electric model variety. Not all of these models are on the market yet, with two still awaited under the Cadillac brand. Nonetheless, the total is growing, and this number is expected to increase, especially since Buick currently has no models available for sale. Here are the 10 electric vehicles from GM, allowing you to discover them in more detail.

Let’s take the time to review these 10 models offered by the General Motors empire, highlighting the key features of each.

We will proceed alphabetically by brand.

1 – Cadillac Celestiq

The Celestiq luxury sedan marks a turning point in Cadillac’s strategy. While GM’s luxury division has always offered more upscale models, it had never played in the court of the Rolls-Royces and Bentleys of this world, at least not since the late ’30s, in the era of the prestigious V12 and V16 engines.

Here, the company offers a hand-crafted model produced in small quantities. Its quality surpasses anything we’ve seen before. Its price is around $400,000 Canadian.

Range: 483 km

2 – Cadillac Escalade IQ

The Escalade model is well-known to Cadillac and has been on the market for 25 years. This SUV revolutionized the market when it first came out and has become legendary ever since. That’s why the company decided to keep its name rather than give it a new one with this switch to electrons. With a price tag of nearly $ 160,000, we don’t expect to see too much of it on the road.

Range: 724 km

3 – Cadillac Lyriq

Cadillac launched its electric revolution with this model. This impressive product appeared in dribs and drabs in its early days. Still, with GM’s accelerated battery production, it’s now enjoying more regular production, and we’re starting to see it appear on the roads in more significant numbers. The model offers excellent value for money, so it is more interesting than many of its competitors in its class.

Range: 505 km

4 – Cadillac Optiq

The Optiq was unveiled last spring and will arrive in 2025 as a sibling vehicle to the Chevrolet Equinox EV, which impressed everyone when it came on the market earlier this year. So we’re expecting great things from the Optiq, with its eye-catching styling and prestigious image.

Range: 486 km

5 – Cadillac Vistiq

Here’s another model that was unveiled statically, this time this autumn. It, too, should be on the road around the end of next year or early in 2026. Essentially, we’re talking about an SUV with the exact dimensions (almost) as the Cadillac XT6.

Range: 483 km

6 – Chevrolet Blazer EV

Here’s one that got off to a rocky start with software problems but is now quietly making a place for itself in its class. Its styling, inspired by the Chevrolet Camaro, is very eye-catching, both inside and out. Expected later this year is the SS performance variant, which promises to be a real treat for performance enthusiasts.

Range: 516 km

7 – Chevrolet Equinox EV

This vehicle is undoubtedly one of General Motors’ finest surprises of the year. The Equinox EV was eagerly awaited… and it didn’t disappoint. Available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive versions, it offers an astonishing level of comfort and space to spare and is fun to drive, all at a price that defies the competition. An even less expensive version (1LT) should be available later this year, probably under $45,000.

Range: 513 km

8 – Chevrolet Silverado EV

Another of the year’s great revelations was the Chevrolet Silverado EV, the brand’s pickup truck. Designed and conceived as an electric model, it seduces with its unique styling, but above all, it has a range that is truly impressive at over 700 kilometres. Even with a heavy load in the rear, it’s still possible to cover more than 400 km, making this model highly relevant for workers and individuals who regularly carry trailers or caravans for leisure purposes.

Range: 724 km

9 – GMC Sierra EV

The GMC Sierra EV is the cousin of the Chevrolet Silverado EV. The equipment is essentially the same, with an impressive 205 kWh battery, and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around 4.5 seconds. Power output of 760 hp and torque of 785 lb-ft are impressive, as is towing capacity at 10,000 lbs. The model is initially offered as a Denali luxury version, but AT4 and Elevation variants are expected in 2025, at a slightly lower price than the current $115,000.

Range: 740 km

10 – GMC Hummer EV

The 10th electric model offered by General Motors is a combo, the GMC Hummer duo (SUV and pickup). Here, the excess is the order of the day, with massive styling, and a ridiculous weight at over 9,000 lbs. You’ve got to love the style and not be afraid of dubious looks when you’re behind the wheel of one of these models. For discerning electromobilists.

Range: 613 km

GM leads the way

A few years ago, Tesla dominated the electric vehicle market in terms of the number of models, offering a wider range than any other manufacturer. Today, thanks to the 10 models highlighted in this article, that title goes to General Motors (GM). However, it is worth noting that, for now, Tesla remains the undisputed leader in sales.

Needless to say, we’re eager to see what the future holds, and don’t forget that for all your recharging needs, BEQ Technology is the solution!!
