SUBSIDIES FOR A RESIDENTIAL CHARGING STATION

For future owners of an electric vehicle, there are subsidies available that you could benefit from when purchasing an electric vehicle. Programs are also available for the purchase and installation of a residential charging station in your area.

Here are the available programs for you:

SUBSIDIES FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE:

Through the Roulez Vert program, the Québec government currently offers a rebate of up to $7,000 for the purchase or lease of a new electric vehicle. The rebate is available to individuals, businesses, organizations, and municipalities. It also offers a $3,500 subsidy for the purchase of a used EV.

The Canada government offers a $5,000 incentive for the purchase or lease of a battery-electric, plug-in hybrid electric, or hydrogen fuel cell vehicle.

SUBSIDIES FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A RESIDENTIAL CHARGING STATION:

The Québec government offers financial assistance of $600 for the purchase of a Level 2 residential charging station and its installation by a certified electrician. Proof of installation is now required to obtain this financial assistance. If you already had a 240-volt outlet outside your home or in your garage, you can provide one or more photos as proof of installation. Make sure the installed charging station and an overview of your home with your house number are visible in the photos.
