In 2021, many new electric vehicles (EVs) will be introduced in various automotive segments, including electric pickup trucks. Dozens of electric pickup trucks are expected to be launched by 2025. While some of these promises are from emerging companies, there will certainly be a lot of choices for pickup truck enthusiasts.

Perhaps, but that remains to be seen, as some of the promises come from fledgling companies. But there will be plenty to choose from, that’s for sure.

1. Altis XT
Altis is not a well-known brand, but it promises a highly efficient truck, the XT. It boasts a range of about 800 km with the largest battery pack of 250 kWh. The base battery size is 125 kWh.
It also claims a towing capacity of 35,000 poundsand a payload of 5,000 pounds. Altis promises different body configurations, including two bed lengths (8 and 6.5 feet), and an ultra-rugged version.
The company plans to begin testing in 2021 and start commercial production in 2022.
2. Bollinger B2
The Bollinger B2 promises a completely wild-looking truck. Its range is not very impressive at 330 km, but its price is at $125,000.
It has a power output of 614 hp and 668 lb-ft of torque, which is enough to go from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds.
3 and 4: CHEVROLET SILVERADO AND GMC SIERRA
Chevrolet is one of the major automakers that is developing electric trucks. The company plans to introduce introduce electric versions of the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Sierra. These trucks will come with different battery sizes, ranging from50 kWh to 200 kWh.).
5. Ford F-150
Ford is also planning to launch an electric version of its popular F-150 pickup truck. The company plans to debut the model this year, but it could be delayed until 2022 due to the pandemic. The F-150 electric truck is expected to be a segment leader with competitive performance.
6. GMC Hummer EV
Next fall, the GMC Hummer EV will be officially launched, but only in the United States first. The vehicle will be a 2022 model, but as for Canada, an additional year of waiting will be required, so the fall of 2022 before seeing it on our roads. It has a range of 400 km and a power output of 600 hp. The company plans to launch the truck in 2021, but it could be delayed.
9. Rivian R1T
The Rivianis a luxury electric truck that promises a range of up to 640 km and a power output of 750 hp. The truck comes with various premium features, including a built-in air compressor and a power outlet. The company plans to start delivering the truck to customers in June 2021.
10.Tesla Cybertruck
Finally, we should not forget about Tesla’s Cybertruck whose production is set to be launched later this year. We’ll remember how much it made headlines when it was unveiled, mainly due to its very unorthodox style. But because it’s a Tesla model, it will be successful no matter how it looks.
